  • The possible futures of part one are instructive.
Rather than on data, we should focus on content, the claims that actors have on content, and the ease of access. Regarding ease of access to content, this can be improved considerably by systematizing the content, starting with the content that is in the public domain. A contribution to the collective thinking, to try solving the issues raised by Daniel’s, is accessible from wikiworx.info

  • I understand your comments. Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough about the status of this 2nd part. It does not provide solutions. Rather, it calls for collective thinking on how to solve the issues I raised, and tries to provide a few starting points or handles.

  • I am afraid I have some sympathy with Ron. Part 1 was brilliant and really nailed things. Part 2 seems sensible, but it is not clear it really met the challenges of part 1. But I suppose that is fairly inevitable, since there are rarely silver bullet solutions. I still think that Part 1 is excellent!

  • Part 1 was convincingly clear, but I don’t get what Part 2 is about.

I felt positively challenged after reading 1 because it raised serious issues regarding to open data but I have lost the interest in meeting these challenges after reading 2 because it mixes these issues in a way that diffuses thought instead of directing it.
