The Tech We Want Summit is just around the corner. Today we are announcing the full programme for day one, Thursday 17 October, featuring 28 speakers from all around the world across 5 panels and 2 keynotes.

The following day, there will be 15 demos from projects that are already making the technology we want (to be announced soon).

As of today, more than 400 people have already registered for what promises to be an incredible day of discussions.

At the Open Knowledge Foundation, we’ve been thrilled to realise that our discomfort is also the discomfort of so many people. We need to rethink the way we build technology and together develop new practical ways to build software that is useful, simple, long-lasting and focused on solving people’s real problems.
