OKFestival is back!

As the banners are rolled up and the lights turned off in Geneva, we are already looking forward to the next time we’ll all come together. We are super-excited to announce that OKFestival 2014 will take place on the 15-18 July in Berlin, Germany.

OKFestival is the biggest gathering of the open knowledge community, an opportunity for us to take action on the issues we really care about together. A focus on building, making, empowering people and creating change make OKFestival an unmissable event for those who believe in the power of openness as a positive force for good in the world.

We’ll be asking for your help in making this our best ever event. It’s also going to be the 10th birthday of the Open Knowledge Foundation, so this will be a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all that the movement has achieved so far, and all that lies before us.

Watch this space for updates and the latest information, and wait for the call for proposals to create your area in this community-driven event. Follow @OKFest on twitter, and check out the OKFest website for all the info as it comes in.

In the meantime:

  • Get thinking – what do you want to see and how can you make it happen?
  • Get doing – ask your friends and colleagues to join in, or arrange satellite events for those who can’t make it in person!
  • Get sharing – talk with people on Twitter, on OKFN-Discuss, at Meetups, on Facebook, and whenever you speak with people about open knowledge!

See you in Berlin!
