**Interested in Open Knowledge? Want to meet others who are? …Look no further! [OKFN](http://okfn.org) and [DevCSI](http://devcsi.ukoln.ac.uk/blog/about) are arranging the first [Meet-up](http://www.meetup.com/OpenKnowledgeFoundation/Edinburgh-GB/618812) here in Edinburgh, with the [Open Biblio](http://openbiblio.net) project team taking the helm.**
OKFN Meet-ups are friendly and informal evenings for people to get together and talk about open data. [London](http://www.meetup.com/OpenKnowledgeFoundation/London-GB/472892/?a=bd3_l1) and [Cambridge](http://www.meetup.com/OpenKnowledgeFoundation/Cambridge/593762) have had huge successes, with like-minded people getting together to share, discuss and argue all elements of openness, and now it’s time for Edinburgh to join the party.
Top venue **[Ghillie Dhu](http://www.ghillie-dhu.co.uk)** is hosting us **next Tuesday, 13th March from 7pm** and we will be joined by representatives of other projects including Textus, the School of Open Data and DevCSI.
We already have guest speakers lined-up to do lightening talks (informal 2-3 minute presentations) on the Public Domain Review, the Open Data Handbook and CKAN, as well as Open Biblio; if you would like to talk about a particular area of Open Data or related subjects – whether a project you’re involved with already or your aspirations for the future of openness – then get in touch! naomi.lillie [@] okfn.org.
If you are interested in seeing what we’re up to, or talking open data / knowledge in general, do come along: all are welcome. This promises to be a great opportunity for some Edinburgh-based folk (and anyone willing to travel!) to get together to discuss ideas, projects and generally set the world to rights over a brew.
